On behalf of the Japan Skating Federation, the Organizing Committee
has the honor to invite you to participate in the
2007 / 2008
SAMSUNG ISU World Cup Short Track
to be held in the Port Island Sports Center,
Kobe, Japan
October 26 to 28, 2007.
---General Regulations---
  The competitions will be conducted in accordance with the 2006 ISU Regulations and relevant Communications. Participation is open to all ISU Members. This competition is part of the 2007/2008 Samsung ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating.
---Distances---
  Individual 500, 1000, 1500 meters Ladies and Men
  Relay 3000 meters Ladies, 5000 meters Men
---Track Conditions---
  The Port Island Sports Center ice rink has an artificially refrigerated indoor ice surface of 30 x 60 meters. Protective padding covers the boards in accordance with Rule 280, paragraph 5. The standard track will be laid out 111.12 meters to the lap.
---Entries---
  a) Entries can only be made using the official Entry Form for World Cup Short Track Speed Skating.
  b) Preliminary entry with names and requirements of accommodation must be submitted by Sep. 26, 2007. Final entry with itinerary and requirements of training must be submitted by Oct. 11, 2007.
---Citizenships/Residence Requirements and Clearance Procedure---
  In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU Regulations and ISU Communication No.1420, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.
---Drawing and Progression---
  The make up of the first qualifying round of each distance shall be based on the current distance ranking following the principles of Rule 296, of the 2006 ISU Regulations. Progression to subsequent qualifying rounds shall be according to Rule 295, paragraph 2.
---World Cup Points---
  The points scoring at the World Cup Competition is made in accordance with ISU Communication "World Cup Short Track Speed Skating 2007/2008".
---Anti-Doping---
  Anti-Doping tests will be carried out in accordance with the valid ISU Anti-Doping Code (ISU Communications No. 1447 & 1448 or any further update of these Communications).
---Accommodation---
  All participants should bear their own expenses for accommodation.
The cost (including 3 meals) is as follows:

    Single Room: 17,450 JPY ≒$145.00 USD
Twin Room: 16,400 JPY ≒ $137.00 USD
Twin Room(Single use): 20,600 JPY ≒ $172.00 USD
  All arrangements for accommodations must be made through the Organizing Committee. Closing Banquet fee is 2,000 JPY ≒ $17.00 USD per person
  ##The rate for calculated prices above is $1.00 USD = 120JPY. The USD amount may change due to exchange rate fluctuation.

---Transportation---
  Free transportation will be provided from Kansai International Airport to the official hotel, and return.
---Ice Training---
  The Organizing Committee will arrange free ice training on Oct.25, 2007 for all participating teams. Extra practice will be provided from Oct.22 to 24, 2007. Each training session (50 minutes) will be charged US$100. If two or more teams agree to share one training session, both (all) of them can share the cost.
---Liability---
  The ISU, Japan Skating federation and the Organizing Committee assume no responsibility for or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection with the World Cup competition in Kobe.
