General Regulations
 
  The SBC CUP will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2004, the ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004 and Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, and the relevant ISU Communications. Participation in the SBC CUP is open to all skaters who belong to an ISU Member, as per Rule 109, paragraph 1, and qualify with regard to eligibility, according to Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 2 and they meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in Rule 109, paragraphs 2 through 5 and ISU Communication 1117. With reference to the Announcement of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2005/2006 the list of ISU Members invited for participation with the quota in each discipline as mentioned in the annex of this announcement must be observed. In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU General Regulations and ISU Communication 1117, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate. Passports of the skaters, as well as the ISU Clearance Certificate, if applicable, must to be presented at the accreditation of each individual event and the Final for verification.

Men:

Short Program The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004 Rule 310, paragraphs 1 and 3, group A for 2005/2006. For their value see Rule 322 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration: 2 min., 50 sec. maximum, but may be less
    Free Skating In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004, Rule 320 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the “well balanced program” and the element value.
Duration: 4 min., +/- 10 sec
       
  Ladies: Short Program The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004 Rule 310, paragraphs 1 and 3, group A for 2005/2006. For their value see Rule 322 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration: 2 min., 50 sec. maximum, but may be less
    Free Skating

In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004, Rule 320 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the “well balanced program” and the element value.
Duration: 3 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.

       
  Pairs: Short Program

The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004, Rule 313, paragraphs 2 and 4, group C for 2005/2006. For their value see Rule 322 and the respective ISU Communication. Duration: 2 min., 50 sec. maximum, but may be less

    Free Skating In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Figure Skating 2004, Rule 321 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the “well balanced program” and the element value.
Duration: 4 min., +/- 10 sec.
       
  Ice Dancing: Compulsory Dance

The following Compulsory Dance will be skated:
"Paso Doble"
The official ISU Compulsory Dance music will be used.

    Original Dance

In accordance with Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 509 and all pertinent ISU Communications.
Type: “ Latin Combination ”
Two or three different rhythms from the following:
Group 1: Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba
Group 2: Only one (1) of Mambo, Merengue or Salsa
A rhythm from either group 1 or 2 may be repeated once.
Selection of a rhythm from group 2 is not required, but only one rhythm may be chosen from this group.
(Examples: Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba OR Cha Cha, Rhumba, Mambo OR Cha Cha, Rhumba, Cha Cha OR Cha Cha, Rhumba OR Mambo, Rhumba OR Mambo, Rhumba, Mambo BUT NOT Cha Cha, Mambo and Merengue.)
The Rhythms are described in the “Ice Dance Music Rhythms Booklet and Compact Disc 1995” except of the Salsa which will be described in an ISU Communication. The Dances must reflect the ballroom and/or social dance character and style translated to the ice by flow and use of edges. The required elements should be carefully chosen to reflect and enhance the character of the chosen rhythms and music.
For the Latin Combination, the lady is permitted to wear trousers .
Vocal music is permitted.
Duration: 2 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.
ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 509 paragraph 2 (required element) and the relevant ISU Communication must be observed.

    Free Dance

In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 510; and all pertinent ISU Communications.
Duration: 3 min., +/- 10 sec.
ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 510 paragraph 2 (well balanced program and required elements) and the relevant ISU Communication must be observed.
